{"id":10626,"date":"2015-08-16T21:24:47","date_gmt":"2015-08-17T04:24:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/topangacreekbicycles.com\/blog\/?p=10626"},"modified":"2015-08-16T21:35:17","modified_gmt":"2015-08-17T04:35:17","slug":"chris-and-eric-headed-up-to-pinos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.topangacreekoutpost.com\/blog\/chris-and-eric-headed-up-to-pinos\/","title":{"rendered":"Chris and Eric headed up to Pinos one more time this week&#8230;on Saturday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday after the outpost closed, Chris and Eric headed to Mount Pinos to get away from the 100 plus degree heat that trapped SoCal for a week. \u00a0 \u00a0They went to the summit and in the best of luck the astronomers were all over the summit parking lot with telescopes for everyone to look through. \u00a0It was so lucky, they are still in shock. So, for over an hour, they got to look in telescopes from the very kind people who go up there for this. \u00a0 They saw stars, Jupiters, galaxies, nebula and were educated on astronomy all evening. \u00a0 It was amazing. \u00a0After the treat of the seeing the stars through telescopes, they backpacked to a spot to keep watching for the Persied Meteor that was toward the end of its viewing. \u00a0 In the morning, the intrepid made some coffee and oatmeal, packed up camp and went to the summit of Pinos with Rover on a hike. \u00a0 \u00a0The 70 degree weather was ideal. \u00a0 Rover seemed
