Dinner at the Outpost

If you have followed our shop for a while, you know we love introducing fun and unique experiences here at the Outpost. We had many ideas which included turning the shop into an animatronic dinosaur park, adding the Zipper carnival ride in the backyard, just to name a few. But due to space constraints, we ultimately decided on doing some incredibly delicious pop-up dinners which are equally exciting.

Naturally it just makes sense to do pop-up dinners at the shop now we have our resident galley master (who is actually a professionally trained food badass) Julien LeBlanc. We had our first Julien's pop-up event on November 12th, 2022. It was an amazing night of 5-course farm-fresh meal. To see pictures from the event, see the Instagram post.

Meet the Chef Master Food Man

Chef Julien LeBlanc

Hey! I'm Julien! I'm one of the newer additions to the shop (if you haven't seen our new Snow Peak Gear you should come by). If you come in and don't see me I'm usually holed away in the kitchen with a serious look on my face. Before wrenching on bikes, I had the privilege of attending the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, CA. After working with some amazing Chefs all over Los Angeles, Chef duo (James Beard nominated) Walter and Margarita Manske of Manske (on the Michelin Guide), I found a home in Topanga. With this new chapter, I found TCO in a search for getting back to my roots! As an Eagle Scout, I've spent most of my life in the outdoors and Chris has given me the opportunity to explore the depths of all my passions combined. As you have probably read, we plan to put together some very special events to mark a new chapter for TCO and I hope to cook for you very soon!
