We are aware of some online chatters about certain Surly models for which the steerer tubes are now cut to a shorter length at Surly Intergalactic headquarters. This change should have zero impact for most people because the tube length is designed to cover a wide range. But if this does become an issue for those who require a taller steerer tube due to longer torso or other factors, we will swap out the steerer tube to a longer one FOR FREE from our very own Surly Steerer Tube Library.
