UnPredict Your Wednesday at Alamo Mountain

UnPredict Your Wednesday was in the Los Padres National Forest at Alamo Mountain.  From LA, head up the 5 and take a left through Hungry Valley.    You really should take a 4 wheeled drive vehicle. Some of the road would be impossible for a sedan.

The guys camped overnight and explored the area the next day.  This was an easy camping adventure day.    Mostly getting out of LA for some camping and riding.

We drove to Alamo Mountain in the Los Padres National Forest after the shop closed on Tuesday. There was a gnarly 4 wheel drive required dirt road up the mountain to get to camp.

Chris sometime uses his bivvy. It was really windy and a little chilly so the bivvy was comfy and warm.

We rode around Alamo Mountain on a road that looked like this most of the time. It was an amazing fall feeling day.

There had been a fire in the forest a few years ago. Some of the riding had amazing scenery.

The trailhead sits next to the Sespe Wilderness. Jay thinks he might have seen some condors. They are protected and thrive in the area.

Chris rode a geared TCB titanium frame and Jay rode a Salsa Mariachi single speed. The grades were a little steep. Everyone was happy with their bike choice for the day.
