Today’s Ride had a bit of everything for everyone.
Xaayy Bicycle Company. The winning entry. Xaayy is the word for “mountain” from the original inhabitants of Topanga. The Tongva language is also known as Gabrielino language. The language became extinct in the 1970’s. Thus, our bike brand in one respect is Mountain Bicycle Company with a major nod to the natives of the Santa Monica Mountains. Tongva means “People of the Earth”. Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry. The winner asked to remain anonymous.
