Steve Flagg, el Capitan of QBP (Surly, Salsa, Civia, etc…) visited us in Topanga for a BBQ, coffee, banana bread and a chance for us to show off the bike shop with a couple QBPers from Minneapolis this week. It was just plain exciting for us. 5 years ago Steve invited Chris and Scott to Minnesota and QBP sponsored seminars that included a seminar on owning the property of your bike shop rather than have a lease. The reality of leaving Hollywood and for the shop in Topanga truly happening was born during that trip. We are proud of where we are now and it was simply exciting, fun and great to show off the shop to someone we have great respect for and had nudged/guided us to make it happen. And, we made strawberry banana bread. It was an important day and the award winning bread was a hit with everyone, especially Steve.
