Family fun…..a Salsa Spearfish for Ed
Ed’s annual visit. This year, he picked up the Salsa Spearfish. The conversation found its way to the Saturday rides where we can expect to see Ed soon on his new bike. Everyone (note it was a family bike pick up) was part of the fun. Great choice. Great bike. He is ready for everything the hills of the Santa Monica Mountains can throw at Ed.
John picks up a 27.5 Plus…….
ADVOCATE !!!!!! John wanted a new bike from a great company that cares about the trails, customers, dealers and is focused on good. Advocate Cycles meets all of that and more. The more is a fantastic bike. John’s Advocate Hayduke has 27.5 plus tires with a 1 by 11. An ideal bike for John’s rides on the single track in the Santa Monica Mountains. John rides all the time including most of the Saturday rides. He is also looking forward to throwing his gear on the Hayduke and bikepacking. Everything is fantastic about this. Fun. Fun. and more Fun is what John has to look forward to riding the Advocate Hayduke.
Greg visits the Outpost
Greg used to work with the shop back when we were Hollywood Pro Bicycles on Hollywood Blvd. He stopped by on Saturday to say hello and catch up. Old stories were retold, coffee and banana bread was shared, and we all had a fun trip going back through memory lane.
A Custom Gunnar Sport is Born.
James came in looking to replace his old road bike from the 70’s that was too small for him to ride comfortably. We suggested a Gunnar Sport since they have a wide size range and are fantastically built American-Made steel frames. We built it from the ground up for him and it came out beautiful. Thanks James!

Salsa’s ultra endurance carbon bikepacking Cutthroat just arrived at the Outpost. The beautiful green paint really pops in the Topanga sunlight. We’ve got a size large waiting to find a happy home.
