David stopped by the Outpost with an ultra unique FlyKly pedal assisted rear wheel with the idea of building it around a Surly Ogre. And if that wasn’t unique enough, we added a titanium railed dark green Brooks B17 as the cherry on top of a very fun bike. You can see him riding around LA having a blast on his new ride, thanks David!
Gordon came by to pick up a Surly Krampus. He had narrowed the search down to this specific bike for taking him different spots in the Los Padres National Forest to do trail maintenance with tools. Thanks for getting the bike and keep up the great work in our favorite place to ride!
Emile stopped in to find the ideal bike. Something that can hit trails, bikepacking, the roads, fire roads and have some fun without worrying about much more than what is for dinner. The Surly Karate Monkey OPS was the answer. Little do people know, this bike has gears. That’s right. GEARS. There is more than one on this monkey….

Hi folks,
It’s comment and grade season which means I’m ridiculously busy. But I want to satisfy your knowledge so I looked up some science limericks. Enjoy!
The compounds of sodium are great,
If you can tell the chloride from chlorate.
The one makes fried chips,
Taste good on your lips,
The other clears weeds from your gate.
It’s a metal, Ca, you’ll agree.
With the ion that’s called CO3,
It makes chalk, and moreover,
The White Cliffs of Dover!
Without it they’d fall in the sea.
Aluminum’s silvery gray,
Foiling many a spill every day.
By the Aussies it’s said
Al-yoo-MIN-yum instead.
And that’s just about Al I can say.
