Armando drove up to check our Surly bikes out and we were all glad we did not disappoint him. Surly bikes were everywhere. After he left, however, we had one less Krampus.

Elizabeth and her brand new custom Salsa Marrakesh! It’s ready to take her on her commutes to work and some fun weekend adventures. Congrats!
Saturday Ride. 8 AM. It’s been a crazy summer with travels and the heat that is not around right now. Tomorrow’s ride is on for 8 AM. Show up a little early so we can leave right at 8 AM and be back by 11 to open the shop. We like to ride for a little over 2 hours. Always hills. Always fun. Always a good crowd.

Clare is getting a new Surly Crosscheck. A super fun single speed. Everyone was excited about it because it replaces a bike that was stolen and she never in a million years expected her colleagues at work to chip in for a new bike. She is usually the one doing that kind of thing.
We had dinner at the top of the mountain. Took two gondolas at Northstar
All City Log Lady
Brock from Orange Peel Bikes in Steamboat Springs joined us on the lift for an amazing downhill singletrack at Northstar
Chris came across a deer.
We mostly rode up the mountain, must be a Topanga thing. But a few times we enjoyed the lifts.
We had some terrific views
We really enjoyed the variety of trails.
Sunset from our dinner
The mountains were terrific.
We met some great people. Nate is da bomb. Look for us camping with this character sooner rather than later.
Morning
Surly just released a new Crosscheck that will cost $875 complete. It is the least expensive Surly we have ever seen.
Ryan was looking for a bike to tour with that could actually fit him. The 62cm Surly Disc Trucker was the answer. He’s planning to ride up the U.S. Route 395 to Yosemite and beyond. Sounds like an amazing adventure waiting to happen. Congrats Ryan!
