Clare is getting a new Surly Crosscheck. A super fun single speed. Everyone was excited about it because it replaces a bike that was stolen and she never in a million years expected her colleagues at work to chip in for a new bike. She is usually the one doing that kind of thing.

A few days test riding Surly and Salsa Bikes…and one All City….

We had dinner at the top of the mountain. Took two gondolas at Northstar

All City Log Lady

Brock from Orange Peel Bikes in Steamboat Springs joined us on the lift for an amazing downhill singletrack at Northstar

Chris came across a deer.

We mostly rode up the mountain, must be a Topanga thing. But a few times we enjoyed the lifts.

We had some terrific views

We really enjoyed the variety of trails.

Sunset from our dinner

The mountains were terrific.

We met some great people. Nate is da bomb. Look for us camping with this character sooner rather than later.

Morning

Surly just released a new Crosscheck that will cost $875 complete. It is the least expensive Surly we have ever seen.
A Disc Trucker Finds A New Home
Ryan was looking for a bike to tour with that could actually fit him. The 62cm Surly Disc Trucker was the answer. He’s planning to ride up the U.S. Route 395 to Yosemite and beyond. Sounds like an amazing adventure waiting to happen. Congrats Ryan!

Rogue Journeymen moving along nicely.

We are excited to have Rogue Journeymen Diner mugs at the Outpost.

Our custom collars are for any mammal.

Coffee, leatherwork, gear. We start our day that way.
Rogue Journeymen Hat and Surly LHT for Edward.

Edward stopped by the Outpost to get sized and ready to ride a Surly Long Haul Trucker. For anyone reading our various social media sources, we have a lot of Long Haul Truckers that go into the wild. This said, because Chris (always excited to get someone on a touring bike) was perhaps more excited that Edward wore his Rogue Journeymen hat back into the shop to get his new bike. Have fun with your new bike and hat!!!!
Sally gets a Surly Crosscheck.

Sally wanted a fun bike with some details to make it ideal for her. Flat bar, Brooks, matching grips and more. If you look close you can also see hubs with leather straps. Old school.

Sally’s bike needed one final touch. A leather hub strap. Done. Perfect.
