We took off after the shop closed on Tuesday for a bikepacking trip to Big Bear. After riding for 2 hours at night, we camped near Skyline and the incredible trail. Woke up to amazing views and spent the day riding around Big Bear. A great great day.
Eric stopped by and after a short test ride on the the Surly Disc Trucker, he was ready to ride home on his new bike.
Paul was referred to us by a friend, apparently we’re at least something right to have people referred to us haha. See him riding through the Santa Monica Mountains on his new Timberjack
Clinton stopped by to pick up his Surly Long Haul Trucker frameset with his family and had a blast hanging out and playing with the marble machine. Enjoy your soon to be built bike Clinton!
We went on a hike in the late afternoon before dinner and it seemed like a new trail.
Singletrack riding in the Sequoias.
Stopping for a moment and photo.
The inside of the Oak Flat Fire Lookout.
The trail is single track but joins up with the road for a moment.
The Sunset from the Oak Flat Fire Lookout was amazing. The Sequoia National Forest is surreal.
The stairs are steep so hoisting up supplies is much much easier than climbing up the stairs with packs.
We saw this cool rock on our hike.
Riding on the trails around the lookout tower.
Who knew that the Sequoia National Forest has some fun rocks to climb?
The trails in the forest are super fun.

Anthony picked up his Surly Wednesday. The Wednesday is a great bike for trails and UnPredict Your Wednesday because the fat tires will roll over just about everything and are very forgiving making most trail riding quite a bit of fun. But the big part of a Surly fat tire bike is the smile it brings to everyone around. Happy riding and bringing joy to everyone!!!
Dave had made a bicycle purchase appointment last month to get the new Surly Ogre. He called yesterday anxiously asking the ETA of his new bike, and we luckily received his bike that same day and had his bike on the to-do list for the day. Here he is with his pup and the all new Surly Ogre in the soon to be legendary “Rover Brown”, named after Rover.
